“Saint Chalice came out of a desire to create something beautiful, totally organic and fashionable. I began knitting because of a desire to bring something more creative to the table other than your basic knit purl, so you can be reassured that everything in my store is handmade by me. I’m drawn to the European style of knitting as it is more detail oriented, stylish and intricate. I love working with wool: the way it feels, the way it can be shaped or reshaped. There is a plethora of rare fibers, for instance camel, llama, alpaca, yak, qivuit, etc., that are not normally used to create garments for American consumption.
I am very selective about where I obtain my yarns, and towards this end I endeavor to obtain them from female owned, small business entrepreneurs around the western world. I also strive to purchase my wool directly from sellers who actually own the animals, and treat them like family. No factory farming allowed!

All of our items are 100% handcrafted garments
We do all of our knitting by hand. Because of this, the variety and quality of stitches exceed what would be possible using machines. The stitches, like the process, are “organic” and expressive of the hands that have created them.
ONLY NATURAL YARNS ARE ALLOWED
We use only high quality natural fibers (alpaca, bamboo, cashmere, silk, wool, etc.) in our designs. Most department stores rely on synthetic, acrylic-based fabrics, however we hand-pick our materials not only for aesthetics, but for the overall feel. If it’s meant to be worn, it should be comfortable on the skin as well as pleasing to the eye!

Each season we offer a variety of designs that showcase innovation and fabulous stitching. This season we developed the collection to plug into current stitch trends and colours. In addition to this line, we also offer a coreline of classic standards in up to date luxury yarns.
